Salisbury Half Marathon 2017

Sunday 1st October, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Salisbury Half Marathon took to the City streets in 2016 and received some fantastic reviews. Total Buzz Events are delighted to confirm the race will return on 1st October 2017. This is sure to be one of the most popular Half Marathons in the South. Super flat, fast course with a great atmosphere around some of the great landmarks of the City.

Testimonials

Just a few comments from some of the 2016 athletes.

Thank you so much for the brilliant Salisbury Half today. As a Salisbury man, I've hoped for a race taking in the Cathedral for years and now we have it. It was so well organised and the medal is a fantastic design. I hope the race continues in future years but I just wanted to congratulate you for such a great day."

I'm not normally one to comment on races I enter, but thought I should let you know how well I felt the Salisbury half was organised yesterday.

I live locally anyway, but both registration and finish were in sensible locations with plenty of routes in and out, so no danger of crowding or pinch points. The route was flat & quick, and while maybe not as scenic as the old course to the north of the city, I preferred it as I'm generally concentrating on my running so don't really notice what's around me anyway! Crowd support was surprisingly vocal round the course, especially at points through Harnham, the Close and running through town. Much prefer just getting a medal and t-shirt at the end, rather than a bag with fliers that just go straight in the bin. All in all, a slick and efficient event, and I'll be back. Thanks!

Thank you- it still hasn't really sunk in that I won something!

I love running round Salisbury when I come back to visit but had never entered this race before. Salisbury Half was billed as flat, fast and friendly plus weather conditions were perfect so I decided to push and go for a personal best time. The supportive marshals started shouting out my position and encouraging me along so I hung on to somehow win a trophy!

I had a great morning running around Salisbury and am delighted to have won in my home town. What a brilliant race!

As to general feedback, I thought the event as a whole was great- really friendly and well-organised. The marshals were really supportive.

Thank you for organising and relaunching the Salisbury half, for me personally it was a fantastic day getting a win and a new PB. I enjoyed the new course and would like to thank the public and marshalls for their support along the course.
